happy anniversary to us (a day late)

I was so busy celebrating that I didn't post up the fact that Overboard and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary yesterday. To mark the occasion, we got Grammy Shirley (in town for a while to help out) to babysit and headed out to our favorite sushi place, which Overboard has not visited in about a year or so. I would love to say that it was as phenomenal as always, but honestly, Sushi Mike was a little off his game. Sigh. We did have a nice evening out, however, and we don't get those as often as we' like.

As another sign of how the second child is a different experience from the first, Overboard and I talked about how relaxed we were to let Grammy Shirley take over and leave Chloe in her care. When Kenny was 10 days old, we weren't about to leave him anywhere, with anyone. I can only imagine what third or fourth kids go through. They probably get left alone to fend for themselves. Makes 'em tougher, right?
