young mckenny had a farm

Well, Young McKenny may not have a farm just yet, but he did visit one today. After running an errand at the local garden center so Overboard can indulge her green thumb, we stopped in at Wagner Farm, which is a great little slice of the country in the middle of the suburbs.

This small, working farm has a bunch of cows, horses, geese, chickens and lambs to gawk at, and Kenny was more than happy to gawk and squawk away. There was much mooing, oinking and neighing going on, and that was just Overboard. Kenny had fun too.

Afterwards, we decided to go grab lunch over at Pita Inn, but before we could get there, Kenny passed out in the backseat. Overboard warned me that he was looking sleepy, and even though I knew it wouldn't work, I encouraged her to poke, prod and converse loudly with the boy, in an attempt to stave off his nap till after lunch. This was not successful. Oh well.

We got our food to go and when we got home I managed to wriggle the boy out of his shoes and jacket before depositing him in his bed. I even stepped on two different toys that make noise while in his room, but he snored right through it. That's my boy.
