where have we been? on a babymoon!

When you get married, the first trip you take as man and wife is known as the "honeymoon." When you're an expectant parent for the first time, the last trip you take before it's no longer just you and your spouse is known as a "babymoon." Overboard and I were forced to change our original Western Caribbean cruise babymoon plan, and ended up spending some time with her mom (aka "Grandma Shirley") in Del Ray, FL, before roadtripping down the Keys to Key West.

The babymoon slideshow/movie covers: a street festival in Boca; hot simian action at Monkey Jungle outside of Miami; pre-snorkeling shots at John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park in Key Largo; a tasty lunch in Islamorada; our B&B in Key West, the Harbor Inn; shots in and around the Ernest Hemingway house; some various Key West shots; the Sunset Celebration in Mallory Square; a sunset cruise the following night; and finally, our private Dolphin Watch charter boat, complete with actual wild dolphin spottings!

The babymoon was a smashing success, and we're understandably a bit saddened it had to come to an end. However, on the whole, sooooooo glad we went. Funny thing is, I have this weird feeling that the next time we're in Florida it will involve a really tall rodent and an obscene amount of "Disney Dollars."

NOTE: The slideshow is a Quicktime movie. If you don't have Quicktime, you can get a free copy for Mac here, and a free copy for Windows here. Also, it's a decent sized file, so it may take a wee bit to download, depending on your connection speed. Also...I'm still figuring out how to do all of this slideshow/movie/whatever nonsense, and it won't seem to let me do a traditional slideshow. Soooo...it's a movie. A not-entirely-brief-movie. HOWEVER, it's worth it. Really. Seriously. This is coming from the guy with ADD, and it's not just because I actually appear in a number of shots.

Enjoy and let us know what you think!
